Berkeley Capital Management Division:

Division Profile

Founded in 1972, Berkeley Capital Management is a boutique investment manager located in San Francisco, California. The division provides investment management services to a variety of institutional and high net worth individuals through its focused approach to equity investing.

Dividend-Based Strategies

With an investment approach that was engendered nearly two decades ago, Berkeley specializes in lower volatility, dividend-based investing through its Global Dividend, International Dividend and U.S. Dividend strategies. These portfolios actively target 20-30% lower volatility, as measured by standard deviation and beta, and historically have a dividend yield 50-70% higher than their comparative indices.

SmallMid Core Strategy

Berkeley’s SmallMid Core strategy is a style and sector neutral approach, designed to identify profitable, niche-focused companies in the small-mid capitalization universe. The portfolio applies a strict quantitative and qualitative screening process that results in a concentrated portfolio of 30-40 growth and value companies.

Investment Team

Berkeley utilizes a team approach to investing with all three members of the portfolio management team participating in each aspect of the investment management process. The team utilizes structured and informal collaborative efforts to review research and generate ideas.
